Zero Inclusion

When a trust has been fully protected from the generation skipping transfer tax ("GSTT") it is said to have a zero inclusion ratio. For trustees of trusts with a zero inclusion it may be advisable to preserve the trust principal and favor distributions from other trusts that don't have that degree of tax protection.
